When you optimize your blogs the right way it can give you a huge boost in views, and unique visitors.
If you need some proof check out my stats below on one of my Medium articles titled The Best Books for Machine Learning Beginners.
Only 10% of the views came from inside Medium, while a whopping 90% came from search engines like Google.
In my terms, this article would have been considered a flop if I only got the views from Medium. But because I optimized the article for SEO, I was able to get nearly 9000 additional views from Google and other search engines.
